CHAPTER SEVEN

Everyone woke up bright and early the next morning excited about the day ahead of them. Sharice gathered a few other things to bring with them, then threw on her white Michael Kors boat neck dress and slipped in her sandals to match. She couldn’t leave without her straw floppy hat and sunglasses either. Once she gathered everything she needed, she locked the door to their house behind her then went see if Laurence needed help. She checked to see if Madison and Mason was buckled in, while Laurence put the last bag in the trunk. Once they were buckled in safely, she slid in the passenger seat and strapped her seatbelt, as did Laurence.

She had a good feeling about their trip and couldn’t wait to get out there. She had been thinking about that trip for quite some time now, but never really brought it up with Laurence because of their schedules. She really didn’t know if he would be okay with it. It brought joy to her heart when he changed his mind. She changed the station on the radio to the soul station, something more appropriate for the kids while Laurence got on Highway 27.

She decided to take a nap since the ride would be a while. A few minutes the kids joined her and fell asleep as well. She woke up a few hours later to big bright puffy clouds in her face. Looking ahead of her, she then spotted the Welcome to Orlando sign.

“Had a good nap?” Laurence asked her.

“Yeah, I did. I can’t believe we made it here that fast,” she said.

“Fast? It took forever to get here,” he said.

“What, three and a half hours? Calm down. That’s nothing. You take longer trips than this whenever you’re out doing business with Ricardo,” she said.

“It’s just something about driving by yourself with no company. And with Ricardo that’s different,” he said.

“Different how? Because it’s about drugs and what not?” she asked.

“Shhh,” he told her as he looked in the rear view mirror to see if the kids were still sleeping, “You know I don’t like talking about this when they are around. And no, the transportation is different. I fly wherever I need to go. I don’t drive longer than an hour or two,” he said.

“Yeah well, you’re driving today. Hold on though. You wanted my company?” she asked with that sexy smirk on her face.

“No. Go yo ass back to sleep,” he told her playfully.

“You’re a lie. You know you wanted mommy’s company,” she said reaching for his dick.

“Whoa! Okay,” he said as he stopped her even though he didn’t really want to, “You will start something you know we can’t finish. Not right now at least.”

“Mmm hmm. How far are we from the hotel?” she asked.

“Not that far,” he said.

He cut the radio and they listened to the smooth soul music until they arrived at their hotel. He booked them a room at the Hilton Orlando Lake Bueno Vista for one night. The scenery was amazing.
